Why Upgrade Your Pool Pump and Filter?

Brisbane homeowners with pools know that there is not anything quite nice and refreshing as taking a dip into a cool pool on a hot day or in a beautifully lit pool at night.

As a pool owner, typically you will take pride in keeping your backyard pool well-maintained and in “ready to swim condition.”

However, you may not realize that some of the components in your pool may be working against you? Are you still using the original pool pump and filter? If so, it may not be working as efficiently as it use to.

By upgrading your pool pump and filter, in the long run, you will see an array of appealing benefits.

They pay for themselves within 12-18 months.

We offer a full range of variable speed pumps that we can tailor to your budget.

These pumps have awesome energy saving ratings. We can tweak your pool to take advantage of these energy savings without compromising water quality and filtration.

CLEAN LESS WITH A FRESH FILTER

Your pool filter works hard to keep your pool in pristine condition. They also require regular maintenance. Media (sand or glass) filters require frequent backwashes. We suggest this be done on a monthly basis. If you own a cartridge filter, we recommend you wash out your cartridge on a monthly basis also. When it comes to media filters, we recommend replacing your pool filter media regularly to help keep your pool clean and importantly, extend the life of the associated equipment. We recommend sand changes every four years. If you use glass media, you can extend this out to 8-10 years! If you use a cartridge filter, your pool water clarity will tell you when this should be replaced with a new one. In most cases a cartridge should last you 2+ years.

MAKE IT EASY WITH AN AUTOMATIC CHLORINATOR

The key to using a safe amount of chlorine is to regulate it using an automatic chlorinator. Maintaining the appropriate chlorine level keeps the chemicals from building up and causing skin irritation, eye redness, or other unpleasant side effects.
